5. Navagraha Raasi Chakram Worship
We have now completed the worship of the nine lords based on the roles they will assume during the Pramaadhi year. We now salute them based on their position in the celestial firmament at 0546 hours GMT on April 14, 1999 and we salute the raasi (sign) devatas as described below.

Guru, Budha, Chandra Soorya, Saneesvara Sukra
Om Salutations to the 9 Navagraha Dévatas, the 12 Raasi Dévatas and the 27 Nakshatra Dévatas. Raahu
Kethu, Uranus
Neptune Pluto Angaraka

The figure above shows the positions of the nine lords at 0546 hours GMT on April 14, 1999 in the twelve raasis (signs). This is know as a raasi chakram. On a clean plank of wood (wood from spiritually significant trees like mango, jack fruit, teak; wood from the vilvam tree is particularly good), draw this raasi chakram using white rice flour.

Write the names of the nine lords (as shown in the figure) using white rice flour in the appropriate raasis (signs/houses). The names of the Nava Naayaka divinities must be written in full. In other words, do not shorten the name Angaaraka to Ang and Saneesvara to San and so on.

Light 16 lamps around the border corresponding to the 12 raasis (signs/houses) as shown in the figure. Arrange the lamps in such a way that the wicks point towards the figure.

Worship the panchaangam (spiritual calendar) by touching it reverentially with both hands and then touch your eyes with your hands.

Now salute the nine lords based on their positions in the 12 raasis (signs) thus:
- Om Salutations to Sri Soorya who is in Mésha raasi
- Om Salutations to Sri Saneesvara who is in Mésha raasi
- Om Salutations to Sri Sukra who is in Rishaba raasi
- Om Salutations to Sri Raahu who is in Kadaga raasi
- Om Salutations to Sri Angaaraka who is in Thulaam raasi
- Om Salutations to Sri Nedumaal Moorthi (Pluto) who is in Thulaam raasi
- Om Salutations to Sri Nishkaamya Moorthi (Neptune) who is in Dhanusu raasi
- Om Salutations to Sri Kéthu who is in Magara raasi
- Om Salutations to Sri Kaliyan Moorthi (Uranus) who is in Magara raasi
- Om Salutations to Sri Budha who is in Meena raasi
- Om Salutations to Sri Guru who is in Meena raasi
- Om Salutations to Sri Chandra who is in Meena raasi.
While reciting these divine names, touch the box corresponding to the raasi in which each divinity is situated with your right ring finger and then recite the appropriate name. For example, while reciting Sri Soorya's name, touch the box corresponding to the Mésha raasi and while reciting Guru's name, touch the box corresponding to the Meena raasi.
