As we have mentioned numerous times before, the time period from 0130 hours to 1030 hours is extremely auspicious on each Vishnupathi Day. Make sure that you use these 9 hours wisely by devoting yourself to pure Narayana Bhakti (devotion) and worship at least during this period.
The Divinities for this Vishnupathi (Feb 2009)
The temple of honor during this Vishnupati on Feb 13, 2009 is the Adi Varaha Swami Srinivasa Perumal Temple in Adi Varaha Natham which is a village near Perumathur which is on the Bhuvanagiri town limit.
See darshan pics below.
Bhuvanagiri itself is on the Cuddalore - Chidambaram route. It is 27 km from Cuddalore and 24 km from Chidambaram.
Bhuvanagiri is the birthplace of Raghavendra Swamigal, the great saint of Mantralayam.
Adi Varaha Nattam is 1 km from the Meenakshi Vedapureeswara Temple in Buvanagiri on the Bhuvanagiri - Sethiathopu route.
This place is near the Vellaru (Sweta Nadhi, a tributary of the sacred Kaveri River). On the other side of the river is the famous Varaha Temple of SriMushnam.
Mothers Sri Devi, Bhu Devi, Padmavathi Lakshmi, Brhat Godha Nayaki (Periya Aandaal) and Lords Adi Varaha Swami and Srinivasa Perumal
are the divinities of honor during this Vishnuapthy.
See darshan pics below.
Devotees should get together to renovate the Raja Gopuram Main Tower (see photo below) of this temple. There are also other renovation projects here that require devotee participation.

Here are some Siddha revelations
on the AdiVarahaNattam temple of Adi Varaha Swami and Srinivasa Perumal
given to us by Sathguru Venkataraman
Varaha Shakti Temple
Adi Varaha Natham is a Varaha Shakti kshetra.
The worship of Lord Varaha is important for all of us, especially for women.
Sathguru Venkataraman told us that we must worship Lord Varaha at least once a month if we want to be protected from the evils of Kali Yuga such as enmity, thuggery, hooliganism, immorality, bad habits and bad character.
Adi Varaha Natham is a sacred spot where Lord Srinivasa does puja to Adi Varaha in grateful remembrance of Lord Varaha giving Him a place to stay in Tirupati. Thus the Lord Himself teaches us by His own example the importance of worshipping Lord Varaha.
There are many forms of Lord Varaha Maha Vishnu. Of these, eight are of particular importance. These forms include Bhoo Varaha, Adi Varaha, Yagna Varaha, Pralaya Varaha, Lakshmi Varaha and Kalyana Varaha.
Adi Varaha Nattam is one of eight such important Varaha sacred spots.
There are deep connections between Lord Adi Varaha of Adi Varaha Natham and Lord Bhu Varaha of the nearby Sri Mushnam.
Earth Purification Shakti Temple
Adi Varaha Nattam is a sacred place empowered with the power of purifying the earth. It was endowed with this power by Lord Adi Varaha Swami who retrieved the earth from the clutches of the asura demon Hiranyaksha.
It is only after this purification process that pooja was done at Sri AdiVarahaNallur (near Chidambaram - Mutlur).
This purification shakti is further symbolized by the nearby Swetha Nadhi sacred river.
This is a sacred temple where Lord Brahma worships Maha Vishnu to get the creation shakti with which He can function as the Lord Creator.
Mother Aandaal of AdiVarahaNattam and Special Blessings for Women
Sathguru Venkataraman taught us that this temple showers blessings on all devotees but more so on women. This is made clear to us by the Big Aandaal of the Adi Varaha Natham temple (Periya Andal or Brhat Godha Nayaki).
The young girl devotee Andal of holy SriVilliPuttur was blessed by the Lord Himself with this imposing form in Adi Varaha Natham so that She may give special blessings to women everywhere.
It is this imposing form of the Mother that is known as Perunkodhai Nachiyar and as Brhat Godha Nayaki.
All of us must get a darshan of this divine form of Mother Andal here, but it is even more important for women to do so.
Perform all kinds of abishekam and archana worship procedures for Mother Aandaal here and get the many blessings that Mother Aandaal can give you such as the wellbeing and prosperity of the family, peace of mind, getting a good spouse, begetting good children and good sons in law and daughters in law, relief from money problems and relief from worries.
This is a sacred spot where Mother Aandaal experienced the Divine Lord in every cell of Her Being and in every atom of the universe thus making it an important temple for girls and women of all ages.
Take a lifetime vow to bring your daughters here every year and worship this beautiful form of Mother Aandal here. This lifelong worship will help them get good husbands and enjoy happy married lives.
This shrine of Mother Andal is also important for girls who reach puberty too early or too late.
Those who want to be married but just can't make it happen should worship Mother Andal in this temple by doing adi pradakshina and anga pradakshina and other worship procedures.
Dwara Palaka Gate Keeper Deities of Adi Varaha Natham who can protect us
Dwara Palakas are the gate keepers at the Lord's sanctum.
Dwara Palakis are the gate keepers at the Mother's sanctum.
Their job is to regulate the entry to the sanctum and guard it.
The Lord blessed the gate keepers of the Adi Varaha Natham Temple with the power to protect those devotees who
offer new clothes and new sacred thread on a daily basis to the gate keepers deities.
Devotees seeking protection should also offer thaila kaappu (oil coat) for all deities in this temple.
This worship blesses the entire family with protection shakti.
It helps protect oneself from the real dangers that arise out of anger and enmity within the family, amongst relatives, in one's career and in one's business.
This is especially important for those who are worried about their physical safety and security.
Pralaya Shakti Jala Jyoti Temple
The Adi Varaha Natham temple is a Pralaya Shakti Jala Jyoti temple.
At the time of the Pralaya dissolution, all beings are megred with God in Jala Jyoti.
It is to symbolize this Jala Jothi that lamp diyas are floated in sacred rivers like in Haridwar.
Since this merger with God is an event for all beings, it becomes important for everyone of us to have darshan at this Jala Jyoti temple at least once in our lifetimes.
Prayoga Shakti Temples - How to get the Benefits of Difficult Worship Procedures Easily
The worship procedures for deities like
Bhairava, Varaha, Varahi, Vaalai Manonmani, Saraba Eeswara, Pratyankira and Uchista Ganapathi
are difficult.
Most humans will not be able to perform these difficult poojas, but is there a way they
can get the benefits of these difficult poojas?
Sathguru Venkataraman taught us that there are special prayoga shakti temples that can help everyone of us get the benefits of these difficult poojas.
Some examples of these
divine prayoga shakti temples include
Adi Varaha Nattam (Varaha Shakti),
Varadaraja Perumal Temple of Swamimalai (Varahi Shakti),
Cholapuram near Kumbakonam (Bhairava Shakti),
Ayyavadi (Pratyankira Shakti) and
Dhamal near Kanchipuram (Saraba Shakti).
Offering different kinds of worship like archana, abishekam, pradakshina, dip in the temple pond, pradakshina, etc.
in these special temples gets the devotee the benefits of the difficult poojas.
Protection Mantra
There are special protection mantras known as the Natthali yoga akshara shakti mantras.
These are mantras where the lips don't touch each other during the chanting.
These mantras can help remove the fear of death.
Chant this mantra in times of danger,
when you are alone,
at night,
when you are in foreign countries,
when you are away from home
or when you are gripped by inexplicable fear.
nattha chudaraagi naanilathil kaatharula
atthan arutchudaraan aazhaazhi kondathurai
kotthu chuzhi koottaangey koodal arinaadhaa
chitthaai cherindharula kaa!
The regular chanting of the above mantra can bless one with manodhairyam - courage and confidence.
It can also give relief from many kinds of mrityu (death) dosha.
Make sure you chant this mantra many times on this Vishnupathi Day (Feb 13, 2009).
Sense Control Yoga Shakti Temple
The Adi Varaha Natham temple is a sense control yoga shakti temple.
It can give the blessing of peace of mind that arises from the control of the senses.
To get this blessing, practice seated dhyana meditation here regularly.
Vishnu Ganga Pavitra Shakti
This is also a Vishnu Ganga sacred spot. The purifying blessings of Mother Ganga are made available in this temple to devotees who offer worship at this sacred spot.
Pradakshina Sakthi
This Adi Varaha Natham temple is a pradakshina shakti temple. Just spending a few hours in worship in this temple can get you divine blessings in the form of bhuvana shakti, dravya shakti and jala shakti.
Since Bhooma Devi shaktis are a highlight of this temple, circling the temple in eight different ways including adi pradakshinam, anga pradakshinam and saranagati pradakshinam are easy ways to get divine blessings here.
Dwaja Sthamba Sakthi
Adi Varaha Nattam is a dwaja stamba shakti sacred spot. Sathguru Venkataraman taught us that the subtle connection between the terrestrial and the celestial is signified by the Dhwaja Sthamba (kodi maram) - the flagstaff - in the temple. It is the temple flagstaff that is the spiritual conduit between the pritvi and akash shaktis.
Sathguru Venkataraman referred to the Dhwaja Stambha as the subtle sanctum of the temple. He said the kodi maram of the temple must be maintained very well. Just this proper upkeep of the temple flagstaff alone can act as a major blessing to the village or town where it is located, taught Sathguru Venkataraman.
So devotees should arrange for the placement and consecration of a dwaja stambam in temples that don't have one yet. They should offer prayers at the dwaja stamba shakti ksetra of Adi Varaha Nattam to ensure that their dwaja sthamba seva in other temples goes smoothly.
What you have read above are only a few of the revelations given to us by the Sathguru, Guru Mangala Gandharva Venkataraman regarding this temple. There are many more Siddha secrets regarding this temple.
For more information, please refer to
the December 2008 and January, February 2009 issues of
our monthly magazine.
May we all be showered with the blessings of Mothers Sri Devi, Bhoo Devi, Padmavati Lakshmi and Aandaal and Lords Adi Varaha Swami and Srinivasa Perumal on this Vishnupathi day (Feb 13, 2009).
