It is also a mantra that requests the darshan of Maha Guru Agasthiar. You can use it to request Maha Guru Agasthiar to give you his darshan - a darshan that is so difficult to get that even the Siddhas yearn for it for ages! This mantra was given to the world by the Arunachala Mantra Siddha, Sathguru Venkataraman, of the Agasthiar Siddha Lineage in the January 1993 issue of Sri Agasthia Vijayam, the Sathguru's monthly magazine. Sathguru Venkataraman taught us that this mantra was first invoked by Mother Asha Suvasini Devi and by Lord Shiva Himself to initiate the avatar of Adi Moola Sri Agasthiar Bhagavan.
